Joseph was born circa 1850 along the Susquehanna River in PA. He had a brother Will who was a Missionary in Canada in the Hudson Bay Area. He married Susan Alvera Garris possibly in Nebraska City and then moved to NW Kansas Circa 1880. He didn't talk much about his family; the little we know is that he claimed to be of French Canadian descent and that he did not get along with his father and step mother. His mother apparently died when he was young. It is further claimed that his mother was half indian and the features of my grand mother and aunts would tend to support that. I would greatly appreciate any leads and will happily share what little information I have. Thanks Tom
