James Turrill family, Lapeer, MI. 1850's

I am trying to find out info on the James Turrill family of Lapeer Co. MI. James was the third settler of Lapeer County. One son, Captain James Henry Turrill, was KIA at Antietam with Co. G, 7th Michigan Infantry Regiment. There was another son, George N. Did he serve in the War? I am not related and am trying to identify a Civil War portrait found in a Vincent family album. A daughter of James, Emma, was married to Shadrack Newman Vincent.
