Since posting the former query, I have gained additional knowledge of Margaret Turrell. It appears that family tradition (so often distorted) of her birth as 1805 is not correct. According to the ages of her husband and children, she must have been born circa 1777, far earlier than believed. Her husband was Ezra Kingsley, born 1775, and her first child, as far as can be ascertained, was born in 1805. One source lists her father as Joseph Turrell, without source. David is another possibility, but nothing certain can be found to prove either. Her children were born between 1805 and 1827. The children were orphaned quite young; Ezra died in 1837 and Margaret died shortly before or after that year. The family came from Windham, CT shortly after 1800 and settled in Bridgewater twp., Susquehanna Co., PA, where they lived until the late 1830s at which time they joined the Mormons and moved to Illinois. Any information on Margaret Turrell's origins and/or fate will be greatly appreciated.
