This is not my family, however, I am an avid genealogist and a resident of Pulaski County, Missouri. I have the first two Pulaski County History books and I found the following article in one that I thought might help in research....enjoy!
In an article titled: Turpin-Myers (spelling will be as it is in the book)
"Josiah was born ca 1775 in Bute (later Franklin) County, NC, the son of Thomas and Avarilla Turpin. Thomas had sold his land in Amelia (later Prince Edward) County, VA, in October 1769 and moved his family to Bute County where he purchased land in 1770. Later, Thomas moved to Mercer County, KY, where Josiah met and married Elizabeth Myers 1 May 1796. Elizabeth was born ca 1776, the daughter of Michael and Margaret (Thornsberry) Myers. In 1805 Josiah sold the land that he had inherited from his father in Robertson County, TN, and moved to Ohio County, KY. From Ohio County, he moved with his family to Spencer County, IN, and from there to Pulaski County, MO, where he was the first white settler. He settled on land along the Gasconade River a few miles below where the Roubidoux enters the river. Josiah and Elizabeth had eight children: Margaret who married Dennis Ingleheart in Spencer County; Sarah who married Charles Stuart and William Carmack; Mary Jane who married James Bradford; Thomas who married Nancy Jane Barnett; John who married Nancy Wisdom; Avarilla who married John Waldo; Anna who married Thomas Myers; and Christiann who married Albert Bates and Abraham Skaggs. Josiah died ca 1835 and is believed to have been buried on the farm where he lived."

There is also the following article: Barnett-Lewellen
"Jacob was born in Ohio County, KY between 1780 and 1790, the son of Joseph Barnett and Abigail Mills. Jacob married Martha Lewellen in Ohio County 27 August 1812. Martha was the daughter of Jacob and Jane Lewellan. Prior to 1830 Jacob brought his family to Lincoln County, MO, and lived there until about 1836 when he came to Pulaski County. According to the census records, Jacob and Martha had 10 children at home when they came to Pulaski County. Among the children were: Nancy Jane who married Thomas Turpin; Hannah who married William Case; Abigail who married Silas Jennings and John who married Harriet. Apparently, both Jacob and Abigail died prior to 1850, as there seems to be no record of either of them in the 1850 census."
Hope this helps in your research!
