Larry,
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond to your earlier message. Leslie Crider and I were able to find a double connection in our families through the Turnmires and the Maynards. My great-grandfather, Isaac Newton Turnmire was born in Kentucky. He and his wife Susan Maynard moved to Minnisota. He shows up in Eagle Valley, Todd County in the 1880 census. I have not looked at a map to see where that area is located. I also found records of homestead in St Cloud Minnsota. Do you have the names of any of your Turnmire ancestors from the 1700s or early 1800s? I have some early family records that might show where your connection might be.
Jennifer
