Louise Pullon Gardner, 82, of Bristol, VA, died Friday,
June 12, 2009, at NHC of Bristol. She was raised in Scott
Co VA, a daughter of the late Arville A. and Virgie Turner
Pullon.
She was a homemaker and a member of Gardner’s Memorial
Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Mansey A. Gardner, of
Bristol, VA; daughters, Ruth Ann Haynes and Sandra K.
Gifford; sons, Hiram Gardner and his wife Gail and James M.
Gardner and his wife Carolyn; sisters, Nina Lee Bright,
Fredna Thomas, and Emma Pullon; brother, Andrew Pullon;
five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.,
Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Gardner’s Memorial Primitive
Baptist Church.
The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Elder Tommy
Osborne and Elder Allen Hensley officiating. Pallbearers
will be Eddie Gardner, Jimmy Gardner, Troy Raby, Troy
Smith, Bobby Bedwell, Ken Forrester, Charles Taylor, and
John Hughes.
Burial will follow in Shelley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to
the Shrine Children’s Hospitals, Jericho Shrine, P.O. Box
5548, Kingsport, TN 37663 or the Nicewonder Cancer Center,
Bristol Regional Medical Center, 1 Medical Park Boulevard,
Bristol, TN 37620.
Mrs. Gardner and her family are in the care of Oakley-Cook
Funeral Home.
