This is a lot of fascinating info, Linda! Worth looking into.

Two things really stick out: First, if Berry Turner (aka John Berryman Turner), had a son named Berryman HICKS Turner, could Hicks have been the surname of Berry's mother Nancy, wife of Micajah Turner?

Also, re: William PINKNEY Turner,I see where Berry's younger brother Hiram Turner had a son named Tillman PINKNEY Turner. I wonder where they picked this name up? For a long time, it caused me to try and find out if our ancestor Nancy (Mrs. Micajah Turner) was a Tillman or a Pinkney, but I was unable to find anything.

I wish we could find marriage or other legal records on these Turners while in SC, and VA.
