Frances Turnbull 1804 Ford Northumberland
Posted by: Alan Wilson (ID *****5515) Date: March 09, 2011 at 08:43:14
  of 1457

I am trying to trace the Turnbull line of my family and have the following information:-
Frances is my Great Great Grandmother and was born in a village called FORD which is in Northumberland in either 1804 or 1810 (according to which census you look at.
I have not been able to go back beyond these birth dates.

She married James Rea, also born in FORD but in 1807 and again I have not been able to go back any further.
Frances married James on 2nd July 1831 in the Parish Church of St Michael's in FORD.

They subsequently moved to PENDLETON in Lancashire then sometime before 1861 had moved to HULL.
They had several children, one of whom is my Great Grandfather William Rea who had several children ons of whom was George Rea - my Grandfather who had several children one of whom was my mother Gladys Rea.
Is there anyone out there who can help me to go further back than I have been able to manage with both Turnbull and Rea.
I wonder if there is any Scottish connection as the name Turnbull was firs used in Scotland and Ford is a borders village - who knows?
Here's hoping.
Regards
