How does this family fit into your tree?
Archibald was a grocer in Hawick but died in Ancrum 1869 aged 53yrs with his son Richard (mason)present.Richard was obviously a brother to Thomas.
Archibalds wife was Mary Bucham and his father was Richard Turnbull and his mother Isabella Turnbull nee Turnbull(her father was Walter Turnbull (weaver) from Lilliesleaf and mother Janet? Walker? so you have more Turnbulls to trace.
RiChards father was William Turnbull (mason)and mother ISABELLA DAVIDSON
Richard also had a son called George. Most of them are buried in Ancrum

My wife is a Waddell and i am intersted in Roxburgh Waddells
