Looking for any help with tracing my great grandfathers father.
He was born abt 1839 Castleton Roxburgh. He married Margaret Gunn Polson 12 Jan 1875 in Hawick. His marriage certificate states Robert Anderson Turnbull or Elliot. Only shows his mother as Elizabeth Young nee Elliot (no father listed). Elizabeth married Robert Young 1852 in Oxnam. I have managed to find Elizabeth in census's 1851 1861 1871 1891 up until her death in 1895 in Lilliesleaf.
I am unable to find a listing for his birth.
Any help appreciated.
