George Stewart Turnbull (sometimes spelled Stuart) was born in Dundee, Angus, 1839, but moved to Northumberland & Durham circa 1860 with his family. He married Eliza Lester Curtis in Charlton, Kent, in 1875. His younger sister, Isabelle was a witness. I'd really like to contact descendants of George & Eliza, as we are from a cousin line (from George's eldest brother) and I have all other lines traced down, but nothing from this couple at all. It is vaguely possible he may have dropped the Turnbull surname in place of Stewart, but I don't feel so.
George's father David, deceased in 1864, was a shipwright.
George was listed as an engineer, at the time of the wedding to Eliza.
