Hi Sally,
There's a mistake here. Albert S. Turley's parents are Thomas Turley and Mary F. Bales. Martha Gregory was indeed Thomas Turley's first wife, but she died in 1859 from a fever. Albert was born in 1879. So Martha Gregory cannot be Albert's mother. Thomas Turley married Mary F. Bales on 12 April 1860 in Tazewell County, VA. These are my great great grandparents. My line comes from James William Turley who married Rutha Belle Stephenson. James William Turley and Albert S. Turley were brothers. Both were children of Thomas Turley and Mary "Polly" F. Bales.

Also it was Thomas Turley who died in 1909 and was buried in Bethany Cemetery and then later exhumed and buried with his first wife, "Martha Gregory". Nannie Jones was the wife of Albert S. Turley.

This is just to clear up some confusion.
