Bird Turley?
In Ms Bolden’s “ The Turley’s of the coal river area” she list the first child of Berryman Turley and Rebecca Wells as George Washington Turley b. ca. 1828 d. 1903. She also list their third child as Bird Turley b. 1832 “no further information” It appears they are one in the same. In researching this family I came across the death certificate for Mrs. Lizzie Means Pauley (Elizabeth Turley 9th child of George & Elizabeth Turley). It list her parents as Bird Turley and Elizabeth Webb. It would seem that Bird was a nickname for George Washington Turley.
