I know this is going to be so difficult but I must start somewhere.
I am trying to find out about my grandparents who were born in Turkey and lived there all their lives. I am trying to find out more about their background and to see if I have any living relatives in Turkey.
I am afraid I dont know much information but I would like to know how and where I start to look for this.#
My grandfather was Suleyman Cetin (he chose the name Cetin back in the early 1930's or maybe 1920's when I think there were some name changes)
He was born in Besemit, near Inegol, where he lived after he got married and where my father was born.
My grandfather's mother was called Serife Susigiri. Sadly I do not know what his father was called.
My grandmother was Nazmiye Cetin. Her mum was called Fatma Balicak. I dont know what her father was called.
My grandmother's uncle was Ibrahim Vefa, he had a brother called Ismail Vefa.
Please, can anyone tell me how to start to look for any records or information so I can find out more about my Turkish family and where they came from before Inegol.
