I read your message and might be able to point you (at least) in a right direction. My husband's great grandfather was Fletcher Taylor Judge (b 1813 in NC)His grandfather was James Judge b ca 1756 in NC, whose mother, Hannah Horn-Judge,widowed married Winfried Wright about 1763. They had only one daughter together (Rebecca Wright, marr Arnold Mann). but Hannah brought her two young sons into the marriage and W Wright obviously had a bunch of Kids from a former marriage. All these Kids grew up together. Hannah's older Son,Israel Judge, names some of his own children with the Wright name. So I guess one of the Wright Stepbrothers was the father of your John.
