Edmund (?) in 1840 Vermont

There is an Edmund Tupper (at least it looks like Edmund to me) in the 1840, Barnard, Windsor County, Vermont Census. (p. 370). I suspect he is of the Thomas Tupper of Sandwich family. Does anyone know anything about this family?
