Mary Dell Frazier Tunnell, 88, of Rogersville, Hawkins Co
TN, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Church Hill
Health Care.

She was a born again Christian from the age of 11 and an
active member of Longs Bend Baptist Church until declining
health. She was born August 20, 1922, in Scott County, VA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlow C.
Tunnell, Sr.; grandson, Mark Randall Newman; parents,
Bower and Lawrence Frazier; brother, Henry C. Frazier;
sisters, Shirley Oaks, Willie Ruth Quillen, Maggie Tipton,
Ima Jean Frazier, and Geneva Deaver.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Charles
and Kay Caldwell, Kermit and Edith Bentley, and Mark and
Velma Newman, of Surgoinsville, TN; son and daughter-in-
law, Harlow C. Jr. and Carolyn Tunnell, of Rogersville,
TN; four grandchildren, David Caldwell, Robin Lee, Neil
Tunnell, and Kristy Woodby; step grandson, Greg Price;
seven great grandsons; one great granddaughter; two
sisters, Allie Fair and Earnest Blair, of Gate City, VA,
and Nancy Jane Ketron, of Gray, TN; a special brother-in-
law, Cleveland Tipton, of Gate City, VA; and a number of
nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the staff of Church Hill Health Care.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. 3 p.m.,
Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Christian-Sells Funeral Home
in Rogersville.

Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m., with Rev. J. B.
Hughes officiating.

Burial will follow at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.
