# 1- I descend from Jane(Adair)& Calvin Tunnell Page 255
Code: Is Part One-J-III-One-b-3: my Momma Clara Ellen Tunnell b.1895-d.1852 P.S.Info is messed up on there.
# 2: I have found where both Wm.Tunnell's Sr.& Jr. PAID Rent Rolls in Fairfax Co.Va.
# 3: I have found where Rev.Stephen Tunnell paid on the Rent Rolls in Louden Co.Va. I feel that is why Wm.Sr.died there .Gone visiting !!
# 4: There are TWO Bible's in the Ball family .One ststes that Wm.Tunnell didn't want her to marry George Ball Sr.(b.1752) of Alexandria,Fairfax Co.Va.but she did anyway without his blessing.
4 b: The other Bible is in Lawrence Co.Ky.& it has written it it.Grandparents of James B.Ball are Ann & Wm.Tunnell.
# 5: ev.Wm. & Rev.Stephen Tunnell are mentioned in Bih Asbury's journals as is Rev.John Tunnell '
# 6: I have found a picture(online)of John Tunnell being Ordained br.Bishp asbury.
# 7: My ancestor Calvin Tunnell was born in NC. 'Lady'
Ann lived with them from 1777 'till she died in 1814. I feel
postive that she talked about her life and must have told him the story about falling in love with his grandpa and demanded to be called 'Lady Ann' (as is stated in NSF book !!) Now Calvin was a very smart man & must have gotten an education in Tn.
Go to Rootsweb.com & read his will & letters that he wrote to his daughters/Words were NOT mispelled. His WILL was very detailed & he was in the Illinois Legislature.Miss Lucy Ball,Cavin's grandaughter who did the N.S.Fmilies book ,had her letters all donated to a Library in Tn.
#8: I feel pretty positive they could NOT have married in Eng.since she was of the Howard family & he was not of French Royalty and he was NOT Catholic !!
# 9: I have learned that in that time period a couple could go
to a public building and put up a nptice that they were going to live together since they didn't have preachers then.
#10: You will notice that Wm/& 'Lady'Ann's four known kids were born in ODD years. This is a pattern for birthing. Some women gave birth in EVEN years. This contined until @1940's when birth control was 'invented" !! So it "looks like" 'Lady'Ann could have had kids as early as 1731`when she was
21 in Va.If I am correct then their kids were born in 1731/1733/1735/1737/1739/1741/1743/1745/1747/1749/1751/1753/
1755/1757. Note: I have found a Mary Tunnell (b.1752(??)who married in NC.& it was recorded her Dad was teacher Tunnell !!
I have who she married but can't remember it right now.
#11: I see hat you "believe"what your ancestor told his daughters (AND SO DO I !!), Then Why couldn't
'Lady'Ann(Howard)Tunnell passed this info to my G.G.G.Grandpa Calvin Tunnell ?? P.S.Think about all that I have written.~~Sincerely yours,Wilma M.(Cowsar)Brown P.S. I have over 600 "Tunnell" notebooks that I work out of.Plus I am also compiling on my Paternal lineage Have many Cousart notebooks.Plus I have a Down's Syndrome daughter named Evelyn who is now 51 & has develped some serious health problem's & I take care of her 24/7 so I can't work on my books like I used too.
