Sara Ann Tune was born in Bedford County, TN to John Tune and Mary Polly Cooper (1797-1852). After Mary Cooper's death, John Tune married three more times. I think at least one of those ended in divorce. Mary Cooper Tune was a daughter of James Cooper (abt 1775-1823) and Elizabeth Bogart (1770-1852). Both died in Bedford County. James Cooper and Elizabeth Bogart had nine children including Washington Bogart Cooper and William Browning Cooper who were famous portrait painters. Several of the portraits of Tennessee governors which hang in the state capitol were painted by one of the brothers - I can never remember which one.
