Hello. I'm new to the board and am happy to have found it! I'm a descendant of John Walker Jr and am overwhelmed at the amount of info out there on our family. Right now I'm concentrating on Joseph 'Old Joe' Tumlinson (1811-1874).

My question to you is, was your g-grandmother a twin? According to the 1860 census, Joe and Elizabeth had a set of twins, Borthana (sp?) and Peter, born in 1853.

A big prob;em I've haveing is trying to make the dates match. Either Elizabeth Newman didn't know her age or she liked to lie about it. In the 1860 census she's listed as being born in 1823, In the 1870 census she's listed as being born in 1829 and in the 1880 census she's listed as being born in 1820.

I have the lineage correct but the dates are driving me crazy!
