I am researching my mothers side of the Family. My Grandmothers name was Mary Amos Tumlin. She was born in Columbus GA in approx 1893, a daughter of Mrs. Minnie Tumlin and John W. Tumlin. Mary Amos Tumlin had a sister Miss Billee B Tumlin and a brother Major John W. Tumlin both of Atlanta, GA.
Mary Amos Tumlin died in 1947.
she was married to Joseph Theodore Kingsley 1912
Notes of interest: Joseph Theodore Kingsley was President of Norfolk Southern Railways from 1947-1953. Retired Army major. (See Whos Who in America 1965 for complete history of Joseph T. Kingsley). Mr.& Mrs Kingsley had 3 children, Josept T. Kingsley Jr.(Also in Who Who in America 1968),Mary Lee Kingsley and Meta Elizabeth Kingsley.
Meta Elizabeth married Evan Harris Humphrey 1940.
This is the only information that I have of Mary Amos Tumlin.
