James wife Mary Sullivan
I am exploring the possibility that Mary stayed behind in Mississippi when James and Pearcy went to The Republic of Texas to settle on land around Montgomery and Washington Counties. There is a Mary Tuly or Mary Tly on the Mississippi Census for 1830.If there is anyone who knows where this Mary lived in Copiah County, I will appreciate the help on the land records. There is a Daniel Sullivan in Copiah also - could this be the Mary Sullivan Tullos/Tullis for the James Tullos/Tullis line?I noticed on the voting records for Live Oak County that Ransom put his years in Texas beginning 1842.However James and Pearcy were here in 1837 and 1840 near the Winters and Cude/Coode.If we can solve this, perhaps we can also locate Eliza Runnels, Ransoms wife, along with her lineage. These women were strong and corageous women in their time!I want to show the respect they deserve on our family tree. Please help.
