Looking for descendants of Andrew Jackson Tuite, born May 18, 1842.

His parents were James (dates?) and Bridget McGuire (1798-1866) Tuite who were married May 3, 1819. They had at least ten children that I know of, Andrew being their 10th child. I am descended from their 5th child, Margaret "Peggy" (b. March 6, 1829) And I recently found a distant cousin descended from their 9th child, Mary (Feb 17, 1840-Feb 19, 1913).

We know that Andrew served in the Civil War, enlisting in July, 1862 in Watertown, CT. He served as a Sgt. He survived the war (his father and many brothers did not). His name is also listed on a Civil War Monument in Watertown.

We also know that Andrew appears on Waterbury City Directories from 1871 through 1877 (library microfilm). He also appears in Waterbury's 1876 Census (also at the library). In that year he is listed as 33 years of age, a painter of houses and born in New York. With him is the name Ellen, age 41, also born in New York and a housekeeper.
