Family of Edward Thomas Tuite and his descendants/Tuites of Tuitestown, WM
Hello fellow Tuites!
I'm eagerly searching for the ancestors of Nicholas Tuite (abt 1706-1772) who was born and lived in Montserrat in the West Indies but moved to London and married Anne. They were both buried at Old St. Pancras there. His father's name is unknown, but he was born in Tuitestown, County Westmeath, Ireland. Danish and English sources claim he has a connection to the Edward Thomas (?) Tuite whose lands and estates were forfeited following the rebellion during the Seven Year's War.
Nicholas became the earliest known ancestor to a global branch of the Tuite family. His grandson Richard Tuite was made Chamberlain to the king of Denmark and moved to the island of St. Croix. I'm anxious to hear about the connection he had to the Irish Tuites.
Would _highly_ appreciate answers from you!
Best regards,
J. Moltke
