Hi Donna,
My Grandmother was Ima Tuggle Furlow. Her father was Alvin.
Minerva's grave is marked with a rock, but with no info on it. She is buried next to her son Henry. I understand that proper markers are indeed in the works. They are in Evergreen in Lipan.
Henry P. Tuggle (Minerva's husband) is listed to have been buried in Owens, Texas. That is a small community north of Brownwood. I am going there at my earliest opportunity to look for him. In the meantime, I am in the process of procurring a Confederate marker to be set up in memorium to Henry P. next to the grave of Minerva. He was a private in Co. I, 10th Texas Infantry, Granbury's Brigade. When the stone arrives, I will announce the info regarding the dedication ceremony.
My direct email is [email protected]. I do have a picture of Minerva on my computer that I'll happily send. It's not the best in the world, but it beats nothing. Also, I have pictures of her brother James Monroe Biffle. He is reinterred in the Whitney cemetery, having originally been buried in Walling Bend cemetery. They moved the graves, supposedly, to build the lake.
Take care!
Preston Furlow
