Dear Sir,
I, too, am a descendant of the Tennessee Tuggles. My gg grandfather was John Wyatt Tuggle who married Tolitha Stavely of Stewart County, TN. He had a family of all females and if it weren't for my dear Grandmamma (1989-2001), Jennie Carlyle Powers Koon, b. Montgomery County, TN, I would never have known this. Her mother was Mary Margaret Rogers Powers (b. 1863 in Stewar County, TN during the Battle of Dover), she married Joseph Rogers, TN and his family had all females so this was hard to trace. Here is a:

Grandmamma was so pleased that her grandparents were Mary and Joseph. It was years before I learned that his first name was John Wyatt Tuggle, as my Grandmamma only knew his name as Wyatt Tuggle.
Getting to the point, I believe he was the son of Harris B. Tuggle, and that's where the migration back to VA can be found. I may be completely wrong, but I've been told by many that this is the case!
I'd love to know what you know about the TN Tuggles, and my email is [email protected].
Your analysis is fastidious, tenacious, and your summary is of the work is superior.
Just a not from another TN Tuggle of which I've heard since I was in my teens!
Very respectfully yours,
Wiley Emmett Koon, Jr.
