Brooklyn Standard Union 1918 July 24 George W. TUERS, formerly for forty years a clerk in Post Offices Station D,
Manhattan, died on Sunday of heart trouble at his home, 654 Macon street. He was born in the old Seventh Ward, New York City, seventy years ago, and was for many years prominent in politics. He was a member of the old Croton Hose Co, of New York Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by three brothers, Benjamin H., and John J. The funeral services were held last evening at his late home, with interment to-day at Greenwood Cemetery.I am not related & have no other info.
