I would like to state that Carter and Barbary (Duncan) Tuell do not fit into this tale, for none of it fits. I do know that these are my great, great, great, great grandparents. I know Barbary was from NC and have her line traced back, and I know have records that put Carter in Washington Co.VA from 1827 until his death. I think I have researched every record possible by the internet, and have yet to even find Carter's father. John, Charles, and Daniel Tuell's lines have been through the same researh. None of these timelines in this tale fit, none of the families have even been connected to their progenerators by fact. I prefer to go on records, I don't discount lore, but only as it is relates to those within the family. I am an avid Tuell family researcher, and I would appreciate learning anything about the Tuell lines. But this tale, from a nighttime bedstory doesn't have any validation, or facts that I can find to relate too.
Everyone has their opinion and feelings about research, but please do not disgrace my ancestor's name with mindless babble.
