William & Mary (STANLEY) TUCKEY had 2 sons, William b 1804 & Amos b 1809 who came to America in 1830 & settled in Butternuts, Otsego Co., NY along with John b 1798 and Judith b 1813. John & Judith may also be children of Wm. & Mary. They were from Northamptonshire, England.
Wm & Amos md Mary Ann & Phebe Perine CONVERSE who were sisters. John md Philinda, we think, ? & then Dorcas ?. Judith md James HOGG & moved to Broome Co., NY.
John Tuckey, who may be an uncle to the 4 listed above, and his wife Damaris along with their sons Charles, John (Jr), & Franics also came from Northamptonshire, Eng. in 1819, 1834 & 1824 with Charles settling in Canada & the rest settling in & around Butternuts, also and then moving on to PA.
Please respond if you think you might have a connection. There are several researchers connected with these families & we have started a TuckeyGroup mailing list where we share info and research.
