VA Tuckers, 1620s-1700s
I recently "discovered" this branch of my family tree and am interested in finding more information, and hopefully learning more about what I already have. All of my info so far is off the internet, so I'm not sure how correct it may be.
I am particularly interested in the ancestors of Isiah Tucker, as those seem to be the ones with the sketchiest information. What I have so far goes like this...
7. Isaiah TUCKER b abt 1761 Amherst Co. VA m. Sarah GIBSON
8. Matthew TUCKER b 1720 Amherst Co. VA m. Lucretia CHILDERS
9. John TUCKER b abt 1683 Prince George Co. VA m. Catherine
10. Francis TUCKER b abt 1653 Prince George Co. VA m. Mary (COLEMAN?)
11. George TUCKER b abt 1627 m. Frances ST. GEORGE
... and then also, browsing around this forum I found a different set of parents listed for Francis (10)...
11. Thomas TUCKER b abt 1628 m. Edy HENTIGE
Does anyone know which line is correct (or if there are any mistakes in 7 through 11)? Also, if indeed this branch of Tuckers lived in Prince George Co., do they have a connection with any of the Tuckers of Jamestown a generation earlier? This is of particular interest to me, as my mother teaches Virginia history. :)
Thanks!
