In the name of God amen, I John Tucker of Westmoreland County do make this to be my very last will and testament as followeth. Viz.
I do bequeath unto my two daughters Sarah and Rose Tucker five thousand pounds of tobacco to each, which tobacco I do order to be paid on the day of their marriages or when they come to the age of 17 years.Likewise I give 5000 pounds tobacco more to the child my wife now goes with provided it be a girl to be paid at 17 years of age or marriage.Moreover my will is that in case the child die that my wife goes with that the 5000 pounds of tobacco allotted to the aforesaid child to return to my wife, but in case it proves a boy and lives, that then my plantation and land whereon I now live to be equally divided between the two boys, only my elder son to have the first choice, my wife having the said plantation as long as she lives.Likewise my will is that my children have an equal share of my money, & all the rest of my estate I give unto my loving wife Rose Tucker, my executrix, as witness my hand this 5th of May 1671.
