This may be farther back than you are ready to connect, but I know that some of the Tucker's in a branch of my family lived in NE Alabama at one time. In the mid-late 1800s parts of the family moved across the border from Chattooga Co. GA.
I have been researching this branch in Chattogga. They moved away from my line in NC who had come there from VA about 1799.
There was also an unrelated group in nearby Walker county GA who came from the same NC county (Lincoln). They were of German origin rather than my Tuckers who came from UK in 1600s.
If you find any connection to Chattooga Co. GA., you may have a wealth of family background available all the way back to the mid-1600s.
