I can tell you That William and James L. Tucker are brothers. There parents are Garett and Jane H.(Rickman) Tucker married in Sumner co., Tn. Oct. 9, 1830. They moved to Clay tsp., Lafayette Co.,Missouri abt.1841 There children Are Thomas, William, John, Elizabeth,James L., and Margaret. Margaret was the only child born in Mo.
While fighting with Quantrill William was wounded at the battle of the Ravens, and was taken away with another wounded ranger by his brother James L. Tucker in a very slow moving wagon pulled by oxen, its a wonder they were not captured. Actually James had been captured in the spring of 62 but escaped the feds 3 nights later. When Colonel Thompson Swore in Quantrill and his men into Confederate partisan rangers, Brother John Tucker was also there. I dont know if William survived his wounds, However I can tell you That James L. and John Joined The Missouri 12th Cavalry Co. D. James as the Captain, and john as a corporal. James L. was a recruiter who recruited my gg grandfather James L. Turner they were also neighbors in Lafayette county.
I have more if anyones interested.
ps.
i have not been able to identifie Morris Tucker that name came from an author of a book on Quantrill
