Jason, I found William and Mary in the 1880 census in Columbia County, Georgia in the 4th militia district. They are listed as follows: #349 TUCKER, William age 33 (could be 35--second number is unclear) He is listed as born in GA with both parents born in GA. , Mary age 30 born in GA both parents born in GA , Tilton age 3 born GA parents born GA , Henrietta (Etta) age 9/12 all born in GA So, from this it would appear that William was born between 1845 and 1847. Mary was born about 1850. Tilton was born about 1877 and Etta was born about 1879/80. Given Tilton's age, William and Mary would have been married probably about 1876 or before. I found Miller TUCKER in the 1920 census in Richmond County (Augusta milita district). He is listed as age 38 making his birth year about 1882. He didn't have anyone living with him. I found Dorsey TUCKER in the 1920 census in Jasper Co. He is listed as age 26. His wife was named either Opil? or Ofrie? and her age is given as 19. So he would have been born about 1894 and she was born about 1901. Since Tilton was born about 1877 and since the family was in Columbia Co. GA that COULD be the place where William & Mary were married. This gives you some information to work with. Good luck. Joan Notify Administrator about this message?
