James Tucker and Margaret Moore married 16 Apr 1804 in Rutherford Co. TN, with Teenan Moor, surety. Their family was listed in the 1810 Census of Jefferson Twp. Rutherford Co. TN, along with families of elderly (over 45) James Moore and Alexander Moore, one of whom was probably Margaret’s father. They were older brothers of Teenan Moore, who was listed in the 1810 Census of Nashville Twp. Rutherford Co. All these Moore’s left the area prior to the 1820 Census, with Teenan going to Claiborne Co. MS, and James and Alexander to parts unknown, unless they died there.
James Tucker and family were in censuses of Rutherford Co. through 1840. James and Margaret probably died there. Censuses indicate that James Tucker was born bet. 1764-1770 and wife Margaret Moore was born about 1786. Censuses indicate that Margaret was not James’ first wife, and that James and Margaret had at least three boys and four girls. I have not been able to identify any of the children, or the parents of either James or Margaret. Any help would be appreciated.
