I found this posting that might be of benefit to you. It looks like the "Betsy James" in this posting who was married to the Unknown TUCKER might be your Elizabeth & Obadiah?? I note the Anderson Co. TN mention and I know that Samuel Alexander TUCKER came to Greene Co. IL from that area of TN. It might be worth you looking into his family as a possibility. Jean Quinn has some old postings on the web. She was a descendant of Samuel. Contact me at joanflatt@yahoo.com and I will look to see if I can find some of my old correspondence with her.

Looking for information on my ancestor John JAMES who died in Anerson Co. in 1840. Wife's name was Isabelle ____. Only known children: Mary Ann James, born ca. 1800, wife of Joseph STANLEY; Betsy James, wife of ____ TUCKER, and Isabelle (Ibby) James, ife of Winston BALLARD. I believe Mary Ann JAMES was born in Campbell Co. TN, so John may have lived there at least briefly. John JAMES may be the son of Rollings JAMES but I have no proof at this time
