Looking for descendants of Robert Tucker (1777 NC - 1866 AR)
Hi All,
I am looking for male Tucker descendants of my wife's 4G Grandfather, Robert Tucker (1777 NC - 1866 AR), that might be interested in participating in Y-DNA testing. According to Goodspeeds, Robert Tucker came to the White River area of Northwest AR in September of 1833 with a large family of grown sons from Cape Girardeau Co., MO. I have the suspected children of Robert Tucker listed as Ransom, James (b. ca 1803 KY), William M. (b. ca 1806 KY), John A. (b. ca 1809 KY), Elijah (b. ca 1810 KY), Starling (b. ca 1814 KY), Doctor P. (b. ca 1817 MO), Ann E. (b. ca 1820 MO) and Andrew J. (b. ca 1826 MO).

I know of three participants in Y-DNA programs that are suspected descendants of Robert Tucker (1777 NC - 1866 AR). Two of them are from the Tucker Surname Project at Family Tree DNA; Harold "Ray" Tucker (27981) and Billy Dean Tucker (32197). The third is from Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation (Free DNA test, but no contact info!) which I will call Unknown Tucker (SMGFOK).

Of the 32 markers that all three have test results on, Billy (32197) and the participant from SMGF, Unknown Tucker (SMGFOK), match on all 32. Ray (27981) matches them on 31 out of 32. On the additional five markers that Billy and Ray were tested on by Family Tree DNA, Ray has an additional mutation and Billy has no mutations from the Thomas (Tooker) Tucker (1614 Eng - 1654 VA) DNA Group Modal Haplotype. Herein lies my dilemma. If the three lineages are as follows: Harold "Ray" Tucker - 27981 - (Saint Clarence, Ambrose Nelson "Ink", Ambrose M., William M., Robert); Billy Dean Tucker - 32197 - (Leavy Hubert, George Albert, Henderson Absalom, Elijah, Robert); Unknown Tucker - SMGFOK - (Unknown, Unknown, Thomas Taylor, Andrew Elija, Andrew Jackson, Robert); then that would mean Ray's line experienced two mutations in only five generations (37 marker test). While this is definitely possible it is also unlikely from a strictly mathematical point of view, unless we can show an intermediate step!
I would like to find male Tucker descendants for each of the sons of Robert Tucker (1777 NC - 1866 AR) that would be interested in participating in Y-DNA testing. However, probably the most important connection to make is with descendants of Robert's son, Doctor P. Tucker, since he is the only one mentioned in Robert Tucker's probate records. Another important connection to make is with John A. Tucker as he and Andrew J. Tucker are the only suspected sons of Robert Tucker not listed on the 1837 Madison Co., AR Tax List. Andrew J. Tucker is to young to be on the 1837 Madison Co., AR Tax List and he is listed in the 1850 White Oak, Franklin, AR Census in the household of Robert Tucker. I would also like to find another male Tucker descendant of William M. Tucker (suspected son of Robert Tucker), hopefully showing the intermediate step I referred to above.

Are there any male Tucker descendants of Robert Tucker (1777 NC - 1866 AR) that are interested in participating in Y-DNA testing?
Any suggestions, additions, corrections, questions and/or comments are always requested and appreciated!
Thank you,
Tom
P.S.I am also interested in finding male Tucker descendants of the George Tucker (mentioned in the Goodspeeds link) that might be interested in Y-DNA testing to see if this Tucker line is connected to Robert Tucker's (1777 NC - 1866 AR) line.
