Martha Tucker’s age and marital status in are uncertain. She was probably the fourth child
being one of the four daughters under the age of 15 in the 1820 census of Henry Co., KY.
Martha was living in Boothe’s home in 1850 and gave her age as 41 years.Again in 1860
a person named Martha was living inBoothe’s home and gave her age as 61 years which
leads to speculation that Martha may have been Boothe’s second wife, however nothing
but the questionable 1860 age of 61 supports the speculation. In 1870, there is a Martha
Smith aged 40 a Seamstress who was living in the home of Absolum and Lucinda
(Tucker) Peak.If this Martha is Lucinda’s sister, then Martha (Tucker) Smith and
husband may account for some of the unnamed children in Boothe’s household.Martha
Smith was no longer living with Absolum and Lucinda in 1880.
