Thanks for the additional information. I now believe that your Mary A. Tubbs was probably daughter of Russell V. and Mary Tubbs. see

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~taughannock/tubbs/wiltubbs2/f1937.html

Russell and his family lived in Steuben County NY in 1860 and 1870, then were at Cherry, Sullivan Co. PA in 1880.
(see http://www.familysearch.org under the spelling "Tubs")

Russell's sons Eugene and Orisan both later lived in Plunkett Creek Township, Lycoming County PA. It would seem likely that they would live near to other family members but that's all I've found so far.

In 1900, Jacob and Mary Ferguson lived in Lake, Luzerne County PA. Their eldest daughter Leola is shown in that census to have been born in NY, the next two children in PA, then two in Missouri, and the last two in PA.

Good luck in all your searches. My wife is a Tubbs descendants, but your lines diverged after the second generation in America.

Lynn Calvin
