I see repeatedly that people think year of birth for Polly Mary wife of William Tryon was 1793-1794; and I think I know where this is coming from.
Read my earlier message from today regarding age on 3 census's for Mary who was wife of Jeremiah Loveless after her first husband William Tryon was killed. Her year of birth was closer to 1800.
Mary Loveless wife of Jeremiah is the woman I believe was the widow of William Tryon. She died Feb. 8 1875 at Camden East. Informant for Mary's death was her husband Jeremiah Loveless of Colebrook. Mary 75 years old. Jeremiah did re-marry Aug. 29, 1876 to Lydia Louisa Rose and had at least three children with her. Jeremiah died Nov. 16, 1900 at Camden East.
Do NOT confuse Mary Polly's death reg. in 1875 with the death reg. in 1889 at Camden East for Mary Loveless age 96 years, who was Mary AULTHOUSE, mother of Mary Polly's second husband Jeremiah Loveless.
Death reg. is at Camden East, Oct. 11 1889 age 96 years. Born at State of New York. Informant was Eli Walroth who was Mary's son in law. Mary Althouse was born about 1793, and I think people confuse her and Mary Polly (nee Brown) Tryon Loveless. The confusion may have gone back to some of Russ Waller's early work; Russ did not have access to all the records we now have.
Also, regarding family of William Tryon and Polly Mary, I believe Nelson Tryon was one of their sons and I now believe he was twice married. Second wife was Mary Vanwinkle. They must have married about 1855. Nelson was named as the father of Zelah Ann Tryon or Juliann Tryon when she married Sylvester Clark in 1864, although I can't find that marriage info right this second. Mandy Leeman was her mother.
In 1851 Nelson Tryon is on the Portland census as being single; doesn't make sense. Here is Mandy:

Manda Trion age 23 Married
Juliann age 3
John age 1
Here is 1861 census info I have from an old published transcript, but I think Nelson and Mary Ann's ages are wrong here....:
Nelson Tryon born UC EM 24 male married 1 story Log House
Mary A. Tryon ditto age 22
Celie A. age 12 (this is Juliann or Zela Ann, daughter of Mandy Leeman and Nelson Tryon)
John age 10 (John is son of Mandy Leeman and Nelson Tryon)
Emily J. age 2 (born 1859-1860)
Dick age 6 (born abt. 1855-1856)
I think that Nelson was 34 and Mary Ann 32 not 24 and 22.
What happened to Mandy Tryon? Did she die young? Whose daughter was she? Was she daughter of Solomon Leeman of Camden East?
Would appreciate input and additional info for these families.
