Alice was the daughter of Samuel Force and Sarepta Allen
According to William's memoirs, William Tryon his great grandfather owned a distillery or tavern in Mt. Washington, MA and in Manlius, NY.
William Tryon and Hannah Reed (1796 see first message) Hannah was the daughter of Joseph Reed and Elizabeth Howes. Joseph was born in Norwalk, CT Sept 29, 1766, and died Apr. 13, 1825.
they had four daughters, Rachel, Almira, Hannah*, and Almira. the first Almira died as an infant.
This family of Reeds came from the first Capt. William Reed of the Pilgrims. he is buried at Plymouth, MA.
They too, owned a tavern north of Manlius, NY. according to William Wallace.
According to a letter written to William Wallace in the 1880's by a man named Ulyssess W. Tryon of Kendallsville, Indiana he stated that five Tryon brothers came from England in 1780 and settled in New England.
The tryons owned a house in Manlius until 1845 which was apparently sold to "brundage".
Jessie Tryon was my great grandmother who married George carpenter from Liverpool, England. I have since made connection with Carpenter relatives in Liverpool. I just love this stuff!!!
Anyone with a connection to my families, i would love you to email me. I would love to fill in some of the blanks i have or you have. look forward to hearing from anyone.
