ANOTHER William Rush Trull
Am seeking information on a William Rush Trull, probably born between 1825 to 1845, who was a judge.According to the State Archives in Raleigh, he was also a county commissioner in Madison County, NC in 1868.(Madison Co. was formed in 1851.)His wife is listed on search sites as Harriet E. Reeves.
William and Harriet had a daughter named Rachael Kathryn (Catherine) Trull, b. 19 Sep 1869 in Marshall, Madison, NC.She was nicknamed Catey.Catey married James Henry Jordan on 28 Dec 1887 in Valleytown, Cherokee Co., NC.James was the son of Mary Ann Jordan who was the daughter of Alexander Mack Jordan and Susannah Sneed (my husband's great great grandparents). They lived in what is now Graham Co., NC.
James and Catey moved to Idaho between the births of their second and third children in 1891 and 1893, and died there in the 1930's.Ten children were born of their marriage.
This is strictly a Sherlock feeling, but I believe that this Judge William Rush Trull may be related to the William Anderson Trull's.Reason:My great grandfather, Rev. Benjamin Lawrence Clingman Trull, named his oldest son William Rush Trull (b. 24 Nov 1881 in Graham Co., NC)
Catey Trull would have been 18 years old when she married James Jordan.I'm curious as to how she came to be in Cherokee Co. at that age.Was she living with relatives, or had her family moved there? They are not listed on the 1880 census for Graham Co., NC.I don't have a copy of the 1880 Cherokee Co. census.
Thank you in advance for any help.Karen Trull Jordan
