George Truitt, Salisbury, MD, 1904-05.
I am looking for information about my grandfather, George Truitt, who was probably born in the early or mid-1880s in or around Salisbury, Maryland. He came to Philadelphia and worked as a streetcar conductor on the No. 56 line on Torresdale Avenue in 1904. He and my grandmother separated shortly before the birth of their daughter (who was my mother) in July 1905, and he returned to Maryland. There was no further contact between them I know nothing about him other than this. I would appreciate any suggestions as to how I might learn more about him. Norman H. Pollock
