While working on "my Truesdells" I came across some new info on Samuel that I thought you might like to have.
Source; Missouri miscellany vol #4, page 39. original land plat book 1832/1858, Samuel R. Truesdell, Washington missouri, october 09, 1828, S34 T25 R1E.
Source; Missouri Pioneers vol #9, page 68. Truesdale, Samuel R. decd. - Constantine Perkins was appointed guardian for Samuel R. Trusdale, heir of Samuel R. Truesdale, decd. Sec., Wm. Caulfield & B.H. Boone. Aug 08, 1838 (36) on 3 May 1842, B.H.Boone & William Culfield, former security for Constantine Perkins, guardian of the minor heir of Samuel R. Trousdale, decd. petitioned the court that C. Perkins give other securites. So named were William G. Summers, William Cox & John McElhannan. (71) on 28 December 1850, Joshua M. Bailey was appointed guardian of the estate of Samuel R. Trousdale, minor heir of Samuel R. Trousdale, decd. Sec., W.G. Roberts (126).

Sometime between 1850/1860 Samuel married Mary E. unknown and probably in Greene county. I have emailed a look up to Greene county and will see what they can find. I will be in Greene county in October to check on another line of our family and will certainly check on a marriage for samuel and the estate papers of his father Samuel R. Sr. You may have most of this already but just thought I would forward it on. Did you ever find out when and where in Texas Samuel died and is buried? I also found a listing for a Samuel R. Truesdell in the Roster of Confederate Soldiers 1861-1865, Vol XV, page 336. Missouri 3rd Cav. Co. A. I believe that you or another family member mentioned he was in the Confederate army.
