Dear Anne,

Three years later, I've just come upon your listings. I don't think I am a Trueman descendant, however I am descended from the Rev Samuel Hall (I think) vicar of Macclesfied Forest. His eldest son John, a banker in Daventry, who d. 1829 left an interesting Will. By this I mean that with as common a name as Hall any clues are vital! The following codicil is the relevant part:

My cousin the eldest daughter of my
Aunt Jane Trueman                            20 [pounds]

Does this Jane Trueman fit into your tree? If so what was her maiden name? Another aunt appears to be Jude (Judith) Leather . john Hall was childless, I descend from his brother William. Any light you can shed would be much appreciated.

Neil Robertson
