John Christopher Truelove was son of William Truelove and his second wife (out of 3), Mary Staton.
William Truelove, b. abt. 1823 in NC, d. 2/20/1903. Buried Concord Baptist Church, Clermont, Hall County, GA.Served in the 66th Georgia during Civil War, captured sent to prison at Rock Island, Illinois. While in prison he was recruited by U. S. to fight Indians in the west, thus, he became a "galvanized Yankee." Bill Truelove did not get home until about a year after war's end.
Mary Staton b. GA, died abt. 1868 in GA. She is buried at Shoal Creek Baptist Church, White County, GA.
Offspring:
Jasper Truelove, b.8/12/1863, d. 5/23/1930. Married Margaret Armour, 1/23/1889 in Hall Co., GA. He is buried Concord Baptist Church, Clermont, GA.
Malinda Truelove, b. abt 1866 in GA, d. ?. Married A. D. Whitmire, 10/1/1891 in Hall County.
John Christopher Truelove, b. 4/8/1868. Married Margaret Smith 10/30/1888. John died 5/30/1959 in GA. Buried at County Line Baptist Church, White County, GA.
I am trying to find parents of William Truelove. Can anyone help?
