Searching for letters, journals, and other personal and public documents referencing the life and military service of Pvt. Samuel Truehart (Trueheart), who served in Company E of the Fifth U.S. Colored Cavalry. Born in Kentucky, Truehart (1843-1897) settled in Atchison, Kansas, after the war. Any and all help appreciated.
