156. True Charles Lowery born in South Bend Indiana Aug 28 1843; married, September 1865 Emilie Therese Brisbois. Charles True served in civil war, enlisting when only 18 years old as bugler August 1862, member of Company K 1st Illinois cavalry and served until last of October, 1862; received honorable discharge because of physical disability. Removed to Wisconsin where he studied medicine, made several changes, finally settling in Kankakee, Ill where he had extensive practice. Children Jesse

William (3) above born June 1670 married 1690 Eleanor daughter of Benjamin and Hannah (Barnard) Stevens of Salisbury.
