Hello Mr. Rogers,

Are you part of the TRUBI/TRUBEE/TRUBE/DRUBE family?

I have not been able to find Birkensee. There is a Berken, Switzerland. Birkensee may be misspelled or it could be two words mistakenly combined. There is also a Jewish Shetl listed as Pirkensee in Germany. And there is a Lake Birkensee in Germany or Switzerland I think it was.

Due to the spelling of DRUBE/TRUBI I have considered the correct spelling could be DRUIF/TRAUB coming from Germany or The Netherlands.

Perhaps the TRUBI family was born in Switzerland but then moved to Germany and/or The Netherlands and lived there for a time.

Christofel and Maria Catharine DRUBE/TEUBER set sail from Rotterdam on the Britannia, then sailed to Cowes, England, and on to America landing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 21 September 1731.
