Hello Douglas--
My interest in the Truby Family was to learn if my gggg-grandmother, Anna Maria Scheurer (now Shirey) was a sister of Christopher and Michael Truby (the Rev. War soldiers) who were sponsors at the baptisms of two of her sons (In 1700's) Someone did furnish the names of the brothers' siblings and there was no such sister. It is interesting to note in your info that in a later generation a Truby did marry a Shirey. Peraps the two families were destined to unite eventually. Are you a Truby descendant? I am a descendant of Nichlaus & Anna Maria Scheurer (Shirey) thru their second son, Nicholas Scheury (Shirey). Christopher Truby was a sponsor of Christopher Scheurer while Michael Truby sponsored John Michael Scheurer.
